About the lab

 

Our main scientific curiosity lies in understanding how cells communicate and interact in order to shape complex tissues and organs. The aim is to develop a quantitative understanding of liver tissue structure, in mice and humans, using 3D image analysis and multi-scale modeling.

About our logo

A single hepatocyte was isolated from a 3D reconstruction of adult liver tissue with the software Blender. The triangle meshes were smoothed and highlighted to improve the visualization. Author: Boris Vega.
